Dr Wong Lai Yong 黄麗容博士(ウォン ライヨン)
                                                                            



Dr. Wong Lai Yong is the Founder and Chief of First Penguin Tours & Training, a social enterprise specializes in Youth Empowerment Camps, 1-to-1 Career Coaching, International and Local Study Tours supporting one to encounter his / her ikigai(a Japanese concept “a reason for being”) and inspire responsible actions.  When it comes to the wellbeing and welfare of youth, she is serious. She left her glorious career as a professional Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) consultant and 16 years of living in Japan to pursue her passion in developing the youth scene in Malaysia.

She has since inspired thousands of youths to explore, discover and achieve their utmost potential (which she believes is infinite) in life. She is regularly invited to conduct and deliver public and in-house workshops, inspirational talks in different parts of Asia, speaking on ikigai, global mindset and leadership to youth, parents and women groups alike.  She acts as the interpreter for youth exchange study tours organized by Japanese Government, as well as advises local and overseas educational institutions on their study tours to Malaysia. 

She is appointed as the Visiting Faculty of Shizenkan University Graduate School of Leadership & Innovation(Japan) on the subject “Career Design”, Industry Community Advisory Panel of INFORMM, USM, Organizing Committee on youth environmental education facility with Penang Green Council, Career Consultant during Education & Career Fair of Kwong Wah Yit Poh Press, Advisor and Sustainability Report Reviewer for Japanese Multinational Corporations.  She is also the founding and current President of Malaysia Rotary Yoneyama Alumni Association. She is the only Malaysian who holds “Career Consultant”, a national qualification of Japan. 

In 2016, she was selected as one of the “Asia Pacific Shining Women” by Cabinet Office of Japan (equivalent to Prime Minister Office, Malaysia).
